Highlights from Asia programme

At the Central Research Team (CRT) we remained in touch with all the projects in Asia during the last few months. This included a meeting of the CRT and all the four RIU projects in Bangladesh at Dhaka in late December.

The Innovation Challenge Fund in South Asia originally comprised of 13 projects spread over Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia. Two projects were found not to fit the purpose of learning about putting research into use at scale and have been closed. We have reorganized the remaining projects to provide a coherent set of experiments on putting research into use; ensuring that these have the critical mass of projects that have significant impact, at the same time delivering lessons on how to better put research into use.
